With Halloween just around the corner, the cool weather making its way into the area, and the leaves falling from the tree, it is time for every college student to be wishing for their childhood memories of trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving. While trick-or-treating is nearly out of the question, and pumpkin carving is difficult to do in a college dorm, there is still one terrifying and exhilarating option for the month of October: Scarehouse.

Whether you’re brave hearted, or a scaredy cat like me, Scarehouse found in Pittsburgh, PA has the perfect haunt for everyone. Happy Halloween and see you next week!
I love the Scarehouse! Growing up in Pittsburgh, this has always been a yearly destination of mine. I haven’t been in the basement yet, but it sounds super fun/frightening. That price point might be SCARING me away though…

The Basement definitely seems like it is only for those who don’t get scared by anything, even the dent in their wallet it would make if they purchased the tickets.

I’ve always heard people talk about their experiences at the Scarehouse, but after reading this post, I definitely NEED to go. I had no idea that it’s considered the scariest in all of America, right in Pittsburgh– crazy! My friends and I love going to haunted houses together, and I can’t believe I’ve never been to this one. Thanks for sharing!

Of course! I am definitely not a haunted house person, but my friends have always dragged me along. The Scarehouse would definitely be one that they couldn’t even convince me to go to because of the level of scare. You should definitely go, but be warned that The Basement feature has had some very mixed reviews, so maybe stick to the main three haunts.
