Thanksgiving at Montage Deer Valley Resort

Thanksgiving is all about being thankful, but sometimes the stress of the holiday can take away from this. Hosting lots of family members, as well as cooking and cleaning for dozens can just be too much, and may result in you not fully enjoying the time spent with family. Therefore, I propose a resolution to this holiday drama: Montage Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Grab all your family members and head over to Utah for Thanksgiving, where all the work will be done for you, and you can relax and be thankful for the people in your life. It is a beautiful resort situated in the valley of the Wasatch Mountain Range, just five minutes from Main Street Park City.

This resort has something for everyone – there’s amazing skiing for all experience levels just outside, the largest spa in Utah, five different restaurants – all within the bounds of the hotel. There are special activities throughout the whole holiday weekend, to allow your family to still have a classic, American Thanksgiving. This itinerary will showcase all that the resort boasts for the Holiday to give you an unforgettable Thanksgiving weekend experience. 

TRANSPORTATION

Unless you live near Utah, you’re going to have to fly. Luckily, Salt Lake City International Airport is only a 40-minute drive away from Montage Deer Valley Resort. The resort will even provide you with a shuttle service to get to and from the airport upon arrival and departure.  This way, you will not have to worry about renting a car. As another bonus, the hotel will gladly provide you with additional transportation if you would like to go into town. My biggest tip when planning your trip is to book plenty of time in advance. Flights around the holidays will get very expensive, but this can easily be avoided through proper preparation.

LODGING

 

As previously stated, you’ll be staying at the luxurious Montage Deer Valley Resort. There are 220 beautiful guest rooms and suites, all of which having amazing views of Park City or the Wasatch Mountains.  There are a variety of different options of rooms ranging from basic hotel guestrooms to lavish suites. You can even ask for your suites to be adjoining, so that you and your family members can easily get to each other’s rooms. The suites come with 1.5 bathrooms with heated floors, sitting rooms with fireplaces, walk-in closets, and private balconies.

FOOD

The hotel has five different restaurants, as well as in-room and private dining. As for Thanksgiving, the hotel will be hosting a buffet-style meal from 12pm-8pm so you can choose when your family would like to eat. It will be held at Apex, one of the hotels premier, beautiful restaurants. If you would rather have something more private, you can also arrange for a personal, catered Thanksgiving dinner for your family for $500.
