Blackberry Farm, Tennessee

The typical Thanksgiving holiday is normally spent at the home of a relative surrounded by your family and delicious food. Why not mix things up a little bit and turn this year’s Thanksgiving holiday into a vacation to a new destination? I stumbled across the website for this gorgeous farm in Tennessee that hosts a wonderful arrangement of Thanksgiving activities. I am thinking about checking it out myself!

The most obvious activity is Thanksgiving dinner itself. They do the cooking for you so you can spend your holiday focusing on what really matters; family. The provide a farm-fresh feast comprised of a turkey fry with peanut soup and angel biscuits served with a view out on the lawn [1]. They host all kinds of wine and dine related activities from Tuesday to Sunday including a welcome champagne sabering, breakfast at leisure, and fall harvest lunches.

If the food hasn’t convinced you yet, they also provide many family fun activities. Burn off that caloric dinner by participating in the Turkey Trot 5k, form a team and jump in a game of flag football or try the family relay challenge! Want a more relaxing activity? Test your luck with Family bingo or grab a blanket and curl up by the fire for some night-time story telling.

Besides their holiday specific activities, this farm has plenty more to offer. They offer a trail ride on horseback through the rolling hills of Tennessee, or a carriage ride through town. Test your eye with paintball, the clay course, or an archery lesson. Let out your inner foodie and check out their culinary and wine tastings, or learn a lesson at their farmstead field school. They offer plenty of activities for the outdoorsman such as fly fishing, exploration, hiking and even cycling. Love the water? Rent a boat and try some wake surfing or rent a paddle board to explore the lake. If you’re trying to unwind, find your way down into their spa for massages, skin treatments, and hair and nail care. Men, don’t be shy! They have plenty of male-specific treatments too. They also offer a variety of fitness classes such as yoga, Zumba, barre, and meditation. You can even schedule a one on one class!

To me, this sounds like one of the most relaxing vacations ever, all while getting the opportunity to spend the holiday season with your family. It’s a win-win for everyone!
