Bear Creek Mountain Resort

No matter the season, Bear Creek Mountain Resort is open for business. In the late spring, summer and fall, Bear Creek offers hiking, biking, disc golf, and beautiful scenery for a warm weathered wedding. But in the winter is when Bear Creek really shines. It’s the best place to be for a snow day!

With over 86 acres of slopes, trails and terrain parks, Bear Creek is a great place to get in some snow sport action on the East Coast [1]. They have a variety of trails for a variety of skill levels, ranging from bunny hills to black diamonds. They have a carpet lift for young ones just starting out, three quad chairs and one triple chair. Their mountain offers three terrain parks for those who are bored of skiing up and down the mountain all day and want to kick it up a notch. The 23 different slopes are pretty evenly split between beginner, intermediate and expert trails. Also, all of the trails have complete snow making capabilities and are illuminated for night skiing until 10 PM! They offer complete rental packages including skis, boots and poles or a snowboard and boots, or whatever you need individually (you can check out their website here for the different prices of everything). Their shop even offers tuning if you have your own equipment.

Next to the skiable part of the mountain is the part of the mountain for tubing. They offer sessions Monday through Thursday from 6-9 PM, Friday from 5-7 PM and 7-9 PM, and Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 9-11 AM, 11-1 PM, 2-4 PM, 4-6 PM, and 7-9 PM. From Monday through Thursday tubing is only $24 but for a weekend day its $30, unless you take part in their early bird price of $20 if you go for the 9-11 AM slot [2]. They only offer single tubes and participants must be over the age of 6 and at least 42 inches tall [2].

Not a fan of the snow or need to relax after a long day or snowboarding? Check out their spa for all sorts of services. They offer massages, facials, and nail, hair or body treatments [3].  They even have specials for kids or teens so your children can join in on the fun. They offer monthly specials, so be sure to check out the special of the month you’re going! And for the adults, there is a Spa Bar that happens to be one stop on Bear Creek’s Pub Crawl if that’s something you’re interested in [3].

Don’t worry about where to stay, Bear Creek has a selection of beautiful rooms right at the base of the mountain. There are also multiple indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, a fitness center and a business center with complimentary wi-fi running through the entire hotel. They have multiple dining choices located throughout the entire resort such as Trail’s End Café, the Grille and The Mountain Eatery. This resort has everything, so be sure to plan your next vacation here soon.
